THE TRUSTEE BOARD Nominated by RMT
Malcolm Dunning
Malcolm was appointed to the Trustee Board in March 1990. He works
for Stena Line and is a member of the RMT's shipping executive.
Derrick Creed
Derrick was elected to the trustee Board in September 2005 following an election process by the Fund pensioners and nomination by the RMT
Mark Carden
Mark joined the Board in March 2006 and is currently working for Caledonian MacBrayne
Andy Gordon
Andy joined the board in June 2006 and is currently employed by Caledonian MacBrayne
Peter Hall - Vice Chairman
Peter was appointed to the Trustee Board in January 1995. He is employed by Invicta Marine Manning and is a member of the RMT's shipping executive. Nominated by Employers
Edmund Brookes - Chairman
Edmund is the Deputy Director-General at The Chamber of
Shipping.
He was appointed to the Trustee Board in May 2001 and was elected Chairman in June 2004.
As a chartered engineer and a Fellow of both the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and the Institute of Marine Engineers. Edmund represents the interests of the shipping industry on a number of external bodies including the BSI and IMO. His responsibilities at the Chamber cover all issues related to regulatory interface between the shipping industry and Government regulation concerning manpower and training issues, as well as ship construction, safety and operation.
Susan Kitchin
Susan is Head of Legal Services and Company Secretary at P&O Ferries Holdings Limited and was appointed to the board in December 2008.
Stewart Conacher
Stewart has worked in a succession of roles at the Chamber of Shipping since 1972 . Since 1991 Stewart has been Company Secretary.
Stewart has been a Trustee of the Chamber's own pension scheme since 1980 and was appointed to the MNRPF Trustee Board in March 2003.
Alan Moffat
Alan Moffat is HR Manager of CalMac and joined the Board in June 2007.
Les Stracey
Les has been employed by Stena Line Limited since September 1985 and was appointed Company Secretary on 1 January 1999. He was appointed to the Trustee Board in May 2001. Les is also a Trustee of the Stena Line (UK) Pension Scheme.
Giles Craven
Giles is Vice President Group Pensions at Shell International Limited and was appointed to the board in December 2008.
David Watts
David joined the Trustee Board in September 2001 and is Chairman of
the Investment Committee. During his career he has specialised in
investment management, becoming Joint Chief Executive and Chief Investment
Officer of Gartmore Investment Management Limited from which he retired
in 1999. David is a non-executive Director of a small number of companies
including AXA UK, JP Morgan Fleming, Income & Growth Investment
Trust and Martin Currie Ltd.
